Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival 2021 Window Display
We thoroughly enjoyed supporting the Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival this year!
Main Window
The main window display includes a delightful Penguin Library wallpaper design, as the backdrop. This is a collection of front covers of the classic paperbacks from the famous publishing house. This wallpaper design has been kindly reproduced by permission of Penguin.
In front of the wallpaper, is a lovely natural oak Vincent Sheppard table with a black steel base. This is perfect for small spaces!
The Interior Studio lamp is an Ivory Ceramic Table Lamp with a Black Satin Lampshade. The geometric design was inspired by the 1950’s geometric sculptures, resulting in a striking, symmetrical arrangement of bold, clean lines. The Table Lamp has a subtle eggshell finish.
The Vincent Sheppard dining chair is a peacock inspired Roxanne made out of outdoor rattan which is a type of strong woven cane, made from bamboo. This chair is available in two colours; Black and Camel.
Side Window
The side window display is comprised of a library scene wallpaper by Cole & Son and a Vincent Sheppard Black Dining Chair.
The Cole & Son wallpaper expands upon one of the most iconic Fornasetti motifs of multi-coloured leather-bound tomes and glassware on the shelves. The rich palette of emerald, sapphire and ruby and the metallic gold highlights on the book spines and the glassware detailing, creates a brilliant illustration of this genre. This wallpaper would be fantastic as a feature wall in a bedroom or sitting room, or for a whole room such as a library.
Sitting beside the wallpaper drop, is another Vincent Sheppard chair but a different material and design. It is a modern interpretation of the former Lloyd Loom classics. The chair has a surprisingly light design and preserves the refined look of Lloyd loom. The materials used, includes the Lloyd Loom weave, Rattan seat and Black steel base.
